Kentucky Bar Association

The Kentucky Bar Association is an independent agency of the Supreme Court of Kentucky. Its authority to regulate the legal profession in Kentucky, delegated by the Kentucky Supreme Court through rules, is derived from the Kentucky Constitution.

The mission and purpose of the Association is to maintain a proper discipline of the members of the bar in accordance with these Rules and with the principles of the legal profession as a public calling, to initiate and supervise, with the approval of the Court, appropriate means to insure a continuing high standard of professional competence on the part of the members of the Bar, and to bear a substantial and continuing responsibility for promoting the efficiency and improvement of the judicial system. Kentucky Commission on Human Rights

Established in 1960, the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights is charged to ensure the dignity, well being, and basic rights of the public through our commitment to, education about, and enforcement of the Kentucky Civil Rights Act (linked). The Commission is governed by an eleven-member panel of Commissioners appointed by the Governor from Kentucky's seven judicial districts and the state-at-large. The executive director and staff carry out the daily work of the Commissioners, who in turn review, guild and approve activities.

Kentucky Court of Justice

The official site of the Administrative Office of the Courts for Kentucky. It has links to almost anything and everything that is in any way related to anything that takes place in a court in Kentucky.

National Disability Rights Network

The National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) is the nonprofit membership organization for the federally mandated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) Systems and Client Assistance Programs (CAP) for individuals with disabilities. Collectively, the P&A/CAP network is the largest provider of legally based advocacy services to people with disabilities in the United States.

This site also provides resources, position papers, supporting documents, and links to other resources for many disability issues. 

Children's Law Center, Inc.

The Center was established in 1989 to protect and enhance the legal rights and entitlements of children in Kentucky through quality legal representation, research and policy development, and training and education to attorneys and others regarding the rights of children. Our priorities include juvenile justice, child welfare, and education issues generally, as well as emphasis on improving the quality of and accessibility to legal representation, for children in Kentucky and Ohio.

Criminal Justice / Mental Health Consensus Project

The Criminal Justice / Mental Health Consensus Project is an unprecedented, national effort coordinated by the Council of State Governments (CSG) to help local, state, and federal policymakers and criminal justice and mental health professionals improve the response to people with mental illness who become involved in, or are at risk of involvement in, the criminal justice system.
