The Alliance to Prevent Restraint, Aversive Interventions, and Seclusion (APRAIS) was founded by major national and state disability organizations to address restraint and seclusion prevention. Its purpose is to end the use of inhumane practices, such as restraint, aversive behavioral interventions, and seclusion in educational and residential programs for children and youth with disabilities.
